The day started off gloomy and chilly. However the agenda for the day was clear and slowly, one by one, members streamed into the KSB compound and were welcomed at the gate by members of staff. After registration, members were ushered into the tent to await the much anticipated 63rd Annual General Meeting to begin.

Before the event started, the Council Chairman Mr Samson Waweru, led by the Ag Executive Director, Felista Wakina, cut the ribbon to officially open the new Braille Unit. The braille unit contains a new braille machine, with which the Society will be able to churn out brailled documents for its members faster & more conveniently.

The AGM proceedings begun with the reading of the 2019-2020 Annual Reports to give a general picture of the Society’s standing financially as well as its ongoing projects, activities and projections.

The Society also had two new members elected into the Council. These are Mr Mark Onyango as the Treasurer & Mr Hiren Vaya as a Council member. We welcome the two and wish them all the best on their new tasks as we open a new page in the Societys quest to better the lives of the visually impaired in Kenya.
