Just like the title of the event dictates, this was an activity that you could not afford to miss, an experience worth more than a thousand words.

The Kenya Society for the Blind called upon a few of its partners from the government & private sector to share a meal at the Trademark Hotel at the Village Market on Wednesday 1st September, 2021. The first of its kind for the Society & it’s members, the experience involved attendees enjoying their three course dinner while under the cover of total darkness. This gave the patrons an opportunity to experience the daily struggle of the visually impaired.

The event was graced by several First ladies from the counties, a few representatives from government bodies such as the National Council of Persons With Disabilities, The County Pension Fund, Operation Eyesight among others as well as the corporate world, all of whom were equally awed and challenged by the experience as well as the debut public performance by the Guza Nafsi Band, KSB’s own band of very talented persons with visual impairment.Â
